The Things We Carry è stato l'album di debutto  per gli Have Heart , band straight edge formatasi a Boston nel 2002 e sciolta nel 2009 .
Hardcore moderno che a tratti strizza l'occhio al metalcore .
Il brano migliore a mio parere è " Armed with a Mind " .

Shelter-Mantra

Scusate la prolungata assenza ma per vari impegni non posso seguire molto questo blog .
Oggi ritorno segnalandovi un'album che ritengo fondamentale per chi vuole conoscere l'hardcore punk a 360 gradi , anche andando oltre i soliti clichè .

L'album che vi propongo è Mantra degli Shelter , band fondata da Ray Cappo , già voce della storica band straight edge  Youth of Today .
Nell'album la band spazia dall'hardcore vecchia scuola più veloce all'hardcore melodico e a influenze crossover e alternative rock .
Le tematiche affrontate riguardano sopratutto questioni legate alla spiritualità , essendo il gruppo seguace della dottrina Hare Krishna .
